The Standardized Admission Examination (CAT) is a common aptitude test that serves as a gateway to India’s 20 IIMs and over 1,200 business schools. MCQs and non-MCQs from Verbal Ability & Reading Comprehension (VARC), Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning (DILR), and Quantitative Ability make up the CAT question paper (QA).
The exam’s difficulty ranges from moderate to difficult. Every year, about two lakh students take the CAT test. Approximately 2.30 lakh applications were submitted for CAT 2020, with 1.90 lakh applicants taking the exam.

The date for the CAT 2021 test has been set for November 28. On July 31, the formal notification was published, and the official CAT 2021 website would be launched soon. The registration period for the CAT will commence on August 4th. IIM Ahmedabad will conduct the CAT test in three sessions. The CAT test will be held in an online format in 158 locations in India in 2021. The CAT application fee has been raised to Rs 2,200 for students in the General category and Rs 1,100 for students in the Reserved category.
Eligibility Criteria for CAT Exam 2021

A bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 50% aggregate or comparable CGPA (45% aggregate for SC, ST, and PWD/DA categories) from a recognized board or university is required.
A professional degree (CA/ CS/ ICWA) with the appropriate percentage must be completed by the candidate.
Candidates who are in their final year of a bachelor’s degree/equivalent qualification or who are waiting for their results are also eligible to take the CAT test.
